the silvery invisible string...

i watched the malaysian masseuse on discovery channel "heal" her customers by removing wind from their body and circulating their blood travel with hideously painful massages, nothing like those relaxing sweddish oil massages that could make you close your eyes and dream a little.
with that, i sat on the couch slumpily yet stiffly, very aware that i'm watching this channel with 2 other guys seated on the other end of the couch whom i have never met before. i don't even remember how they looked like now, given the fact that i was so shy to even introduce myself, or join them as they commented on the documentary. i merely smiled.

i saw R washing the road with pails of clean water that L brought out. the party seemed over the moment i arrived after the secret drive-in movie-watch at marina south pier with dubberke. (1st ever Drive-in Movie: watched Star Dust with dubberke in the car with big screen out there, tuning in to the radio channel for better sound quality in the car. for once watching a public movie, i could comment, laugh and make fun of the characters in the midst of it. it was quite funny. i like going out with clem once a while because the already nice outings were always topped up with foaming luxurious whipped cream of hot gossips. :D)

vodka with whatever is sick, but i didn't ask for more choices. besides, they said it's premium vodka, better than those crappy yet collectable absoluts. sitting against the wall facing pots of lotus plants was surreal. i've not done this for the longest time. i must say that alcohol, be it vod or whatever shit, does draw people closer to each other, not physically. it was as if an invisible silvery string of bonding binds the drinkers with a common frequency of humour, thoughts and nonsensical fun.

i felt sick after drinking (which i had not done for months). and i realised i wasn't even supposed to and i missed my pills for the 1st time. but it was good fun anyway.

If you find yourself caught in love

i practically belle and sebastian-ed most of today. and i even knew which track to use for my wedding march in (if ever). i asked people around me this question over and over before: is there a real God(in any form at all) or is "god" something created like a myth, to tame us human, to set a clearer line between "good" and "bad"? believing in a being/existence that bring peace/conscience to your heart and soul, is merely exhibited by the action of faith, something intangible.

if god is real. i'd...

+++++++

If you find yourself caught in love
by belle and sebastian

If you find yourself caught in love
Say a prayer to the man above
Thank him for everything you know
You should thank him for every breath you blow

If you find yourself caught in love
Say a prayer to the man above
You should thank him for every day you pass
Thank him for saving your sorry ass

If you’re single, but looking out
You must raise your prayer to a shout
Another partner must be found
Someone to take your life beyond
Another TV “I Love 1999”
Just one more box of cheapo wine

If you find yourself caught in love
You should say a prayer to the man above

If you don’t listen to the voices then my friend
You’ll soon run out of choices
What a pity it would be
You talk of freedom don’t you see
The only freedom that you’ll ever really know
Is written in books from long ago
Give up your will to Him that loves you
Things will change, I’m not saying overnight
But something has to give
You’re too good looking not to live

If you find yourself out of love
Shed a tear for the one you love
Tell your boss that you’ve gone away
Down your tools for a holiday
If you’re going off to war then I wish you well
But don’t be sore
If I cheer the other team
Killing people’s not my scene
I prefer to give the inhabitants a say
Before you blow their town away
I like to watch them play
I like to marvel at the random beauty of a simple village girl
Why should she be the one who’s killed? If you find yourself caught in love...
